A fearsome fire leaves the three Baudelaire children Violet, Klaus and Sunny rich, but orphaned. In next to no time, their distant relative Count Olaf appears on the scene to claim guardianship over them. However, Count Olaf soon turns out to be a vile villain, and he and his horrid henchmen clearly have nothing else in mind but to claim the Baudelaire's fortune for themselves. Only by using Violet's inventive genius, Klaus' book learning and Sunny's sharp teeth can the player escape from one unfortunate event after another.

Based on the new movie, which covers the first three books, this game accompanies the Baudelaire orphans on their fantastic adventures with cruel Count Olaf, hearty Uncle Monty and anxious Aunt Josephine. The player will have to solve puzzles, create inventions and outsmart creepy Count Olaf - whose German voice is that of original Jim Carrey dubbing actor Stefan Fredrich - and his awful accomplices.
