A legend challenges the gaming world.

As a sportsman, Tony Hawk has already achieved all he could ever have wished for: He's been a skateboarding idol for more than 10 years, world champion several times over, winner of notable skating contests worldwide, the creator of countless tricks, ...

And now ”his” game is setting about breaking every record. Tony Hawk's Skateboarding has given a new meaning to the expression ”fun sports”. Either as skateboarding legend Tony Hawk or as one of nine other pros, players will have to prove their worth in the eventful levels of the career mode and practice countless tricks and super moves, then invest the prize money in improved boards and statistics. In the split-screen multiplayer mode, players can put their skills to the test against one another in the game variants HORSE or Graffiti.

During localisation, particular attention was paid to the use of the original skating ”slang”, to make sure trick names remain authentic.

Tony's fun - an opinion shared not only by the games magazines that generously bestowed top marks on the game. The players are also agreed: Tony rocks!

Following the receipt of the Gold Award for 100,000 copies sold from the VUD, Tony Hawk's Skateboarding was voted ”Game of the Year” by readers of the official PlayStation magazine.

Tony Hawk's Skateboarding is the only fun sports game to have received a special quality award from every console magazine in Germany.
