For the first time, real toys are brought to life in a video game. Once they are placed on the Portal of Power, Skylanders such as Spyro, Trigger Happy, Gill Grunt and many more can be controlled in the game, and their progress can be saved on the toy and taken along to a friend's consoles. Because it's always more fun to play together.

Evil powers have been controlling the magical world of Skylands ever since the Portal Masters were defeated and the Skylanders banished. But now you appear on the scene as a new Portal Master. With the ability to control the Portal of Power and summon the powerful Skylanders, you will surely foil the plans of your antagonist Kaos.

Despite the dreadful threat of the Darkness looming over Skylands, Skylanders Spyro's Adventure is aimed at a young audience and its villains are more funny than frightening. The other quirky characters you will encounter - from the rather vain balloonist Flynn to T-Bone, who is clearly a few bones short of a skeleton - are all amusing to look at and keep coming up with great quips.
