Following the successful Medieval 2, SEGA takes the popular Total War series to modern times with Empire, letting the player fight breathtaking land and sea battles all over the globe. In the familiar fashion, players move their troops across the map in the turn-based strategy part, and then lead them as generals in real-time battles. Units and environment offer a truly impressive abundance of details, which is quite unrivalled in the strategy genre. Available scenarios include the American War of Independence and a global campaign where players battle for world domination. In the multiplayer mode, which offers completely new options and modes, players get to choose one of 50 new factions and go up against their friends.
